Free Co-Working Program
Yes, you read it right. We have a co-working program that allows you to work from MERA for free... and even get paid to do it.

How it Works
Availability & Access
The space is available primarly on weekdays, and we request that you'll be present at the space at least 3 days a week for 4 hours between 10:00 and 18:00.
However, you can use the space whenever the space is free of events (exclusive rentals).
You'll have fully autonomous access, with your own entrance code and alarm code, allowing you to use the space to work whenever you want.
You are allowed to bring one person with you. You are responsable for your guest and their actions and you have to provide information about your guests prior to bring them.
What you give in return
This is a mutual benefit volunteer program.
While you get the space to work for free, we ask for your help in:

Showing the place to potential clients

Hosting our Podcast and Photo studio rental costumers (showing them where all the equipment and lighs are, making sure everyone is confortable and that no equipment or furniture is damaged during those rentals)

Receiving shipments and delieveries
Other benefits
Extra income: By taking part on our volunteer co-working program, you'll have priority to work as staff, assistant producer or production coordinator on events happening at MERA.
Training: Because we want you to feel at home, we'll offer you training on how to operate the basics of our sound and lighting equipment, including the photo studio and the podcast studio.
Free use of the Photo Studio and Podcast Studio. While taking part in our program, you can use the podcast studio and the photo studio for free once a week.
What you get
You get a free "office" space that you can use to work remotely, to work on your artistic projcts (we have a lot of space to dance and rehearse) and free wifi.
You can use our kitchen and bathrooms, and you can work in our open space, in our workshop room, production room or connection room.
You can eat and/or rest in our lounge areas, take calls in our rooms and use tech equiqment available.
You can use our rooms to have meetings with clients for free (as long as you still provide a minimum of 12hours of availability per week to host studio rentals or show the space to potential MERA clients)
How much you get paid
What you give in return can help us a lot. Because of that, is more than fair that you be rewarded for it. You get the followinng compensation:
3% comission of the total revenue on rental deals where you did the venue tour to the clients
3% comission of the total revenue on rental deals that you reffered to us (walk-ins or other referrals)
20% revenue for photo and podcast studio rentals that you host
A community
Our volunteer co-working program has a maximum of 5 spots in it's testing phase (until 31/12/2026). The number of spots can be incresead after that.
Because we want to build a community of like-minded people, we are available to make adjustments to our program, to give special event rental rates to our volunteers and to host their own artistic, cultural or social communities and projects at MERA with special conditions.

After submitting you application, you'll be requested to book an online call with our founder, where we can get to know you better and where you can ask all the questions you need.
If everything seems great for both sides, we'll schedule a first day to show you the space and provide your access codes.
During this process you'll have to request some personal and professional information and history. We want you to know that every information that you provide to us will be treated according to law, with the upmost respect for your privacy and without any kind of judgment on your beliefs, personal or professional situation, goals, struggles or identity.
