This Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal data carried out by Cartola de Artistas Unipessoal Lda., hereinafter also referred to by its commercial brand MERA Lisbon, in the scope of its event production, space rental, and communication services activities, as well as through the use of the website www.meralisbon.com.

Our commitment is to ensure full transparency in the processing of your data and strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Portuguese Data Protection Law (Law No. 58/2019).

  • Billing and Payment Data: Name/Company Name, VAT Number, IBAN, and Billing address.

3. For what purposes do we use your data and on what legal basis?

The collected data is processed for the following purposes and on the following legal bases (Article 6 of the GDPR):

  1. Pre-contractual measures and Contract Execution: For budgeting, providing event production support services, renting the MERA Lisbon space, and the overall management of the commercial relationship and service provision.

  2. Compliance with Legal Obligations: For issuing invoices, processing payments, and reporting to the Portuguese Tax Authority.

  3. Legitimate Interest and Commercial Communications: For sending commercial information, news, and MERA Lisbon services to corporate clients (B2B). In the case of final consumers (B2C) or individuals who are not yet our clients, the sending of these communications will depend on your prior and explicit Consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

  4. Recruitment (Current or Future): Should you send us your Curriculum Vitae for spontaneous or open recruitment processes, your data will be processed to evaluate your application, based on pre-contractual measures.

4. Data Sharing with Third Parties (Data Processors)

To ensure the provision of our services, Cartola de Artistas / MERA Lisbon may need to share your data with external entities (Data Processors). We guarantee that we only share strictly necessary data and with entities that ensure GDPR compliance:

  • External Accounting Firm (for tax management and invoicing);

  • Law Firm (for legal and contractual advice, subject to professional secrecy);

  • Event suppliers and partners (e.g., Catering services, strictly when necessary for the execution of the contracted event);

  • Technological and CRM platforms (for database management and communications).

International Transfers: Your data is processed and stored within the European Economic Area (EEA).

5. Retention Periods

We retain your personal data only for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, applying the following standard retention periods:

  • Billing and accounting data: 10 years, as required by Portuguese tax legislation (Art. 130 of the CIRC).

  • Client data and contract management: During the term of the contract/commercial relationship, plus the legal limitation period for the exercise or defense of legal claims (generally up to 20 years).

  • Recruitment Data: The Curricula received will be kept for a maximum period of 1 (one) year, after which they will be deleted, unless the candidate is hired.

  • Marketing Communications: Until the data subject exercises their right to object or withdraws consent.

  • Rectification: To correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

Currently, the website www.meralisbon.com uses direct contact forms and does not actively use analytical or advertising tracking cookies without your knowledge. In the future, should we implement analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or social media pixels (such as Meta Pixel), a Cookie Notice (Banner) will be presented upon your first visit to the site. Under these circumstances, non-essential cookies will only be activated in your browser after your explicit consent.
